The 10 Most Crowded Places In The Entire World

The 10 Most Crowded Places In The Entire World

Many of you probably live within a metropolis – whether it is a small city or a massive one, like New York City or London. The simple fact of the matter is that cities like this are quickly becoming overcrowded, with very little room to breathe, let alone move when you’re out and about. Now, we’re here to focus on specifics, not just an entire city, so the next time you’re traveling through London, you know exactly which roads to avoid, otherwise you risk being late to where you’re going. Knowing these areas will save you an anxiety attack from being in large crowds, too. So, remember these ten over-crowded places.

Oxford Street – Most Crowded City Street

Oxford Street easily has over 200 million people passing along the row of shops and buildings every single year. In fact, part of the popular road had to be completely restructured in an effort to accommodate all of the foot traffic that passes through.

Monaco – The Most Crowded Country

India – The Most Crowded Trains

We’ve all seen the images of trains throughout India carrying far more passengers than the transportation vehicles were designed for. There are people hanging from the sides, standing on the roof, and sitting on the very front engine of the train. It’s way too crowded.

Qingdao Huiquan Beach – China – Most Crowded Beach

The Qingdao Huiquan Beach within China is considered the most crowded beach of all time. During certain times of the year, it is nearly impossible for anyone to even get a look at the crystal blue water of the beach, as there are too many people standing in the way.

Monaco may not be a very big country, as it is less than 0.8 square miles in total, but there are over 37,000 people within that tiny area all crammed together in their homes, shops, and streets. Just imagine having to deal with those crowds on a daily basis.

Santa Cruz del Islote – Most Crowded Island

Santa Cruz del Islote has quickly become known as the most crowded island in the entire world. The tiny island off the coast of Columbia has a population density of 124,700 people for every square mile it encompasses. It’s too small for most people.

George Washington Bridge, New York – Most Crowded Bridge

Anyone traveling through New York City knows the George Washington Bridge quite well. This is because it is the most crowded bridge in the entire world. It has two levels and fourteen lanes in total, but they tend to be full almost all of the time. Traffic slows to a crawl here.

Tokyo Space Capsule Inns – Most Crowded Hotel

Tokyo has a lot of themed hotels for tourists and citizens to sleep in when they want to get away from everyone and everything. However, their space capsule inns, which are already pretty dang tiny, are more crowded than you think. There are thousands of beds, and most tend to fill up quickly.

Chengdu, China – Most Crowded Parking Lot

Within China, just south of Chengdu, there is a tiny, overstuffed parking lot where you may never see your vehicle again. Cars here are parked bumper to bumper, but the locals all claim that there has been only one minor scrape in the past year.

Maracana – Most Crowded Stadium

Located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the Maracana stadium holds the world record for the highest stadium attendance during a sports event. The seats were completely filled with almost a quarter million spectators during a soccer match last year.

The Most Crowded Place of All Time

Located in Hong Kong, the Mongkok Commercial and Residential District is considered the most crowded place on the planet. With over 340,000 people per square mile, it is almost impossible to get anywhere on time when you’re in a rush.

Skincare: How to Take Care of Your Skin When the Weather Gets Cold

Cold weather can be really hard on your skin. Although we’re still in the throes of fall, winter tends to creep up on us and our skin quickly. Not only do the freezing temperatures do a number on your skin, but central heating and any other attempts to keep warm may be making your dry, itchy, flaky, and chapped skin situation even worse. It also makes your hair brittle, and if you have a hefty beard, you’re going to need to take extra care, despite your plans to insulate your face as much as you can by growing one in the first place.
You need a great plan of action to put in place before the weather gets bitterly cold. Here is your Cheat Sheet guide to taking care of your skin this winter.
Although hot showers on a cold day may feel like God’s gift to mankind, your long morning or evening shower is wreaking havoc on your skin, especially during the colder months of the year. “Hot water strips the skin of its natural, protective oils which can cause it to dry out,” warns dermatologist David Orentreich. Even if the thought of giving up your steaming hot late fall/early winter showers sends a cold chill down your back, Orentreich suggests turning the heat down just a little and making your shower a quick one in order to keep your skin from drying out too much.

Utilize your time in the shower and lather up

When the temps plummet, using a simple bar of soap just won’t do — in fact, it could be drying out your skin even more. For most men, the thought of using any sort of bath tools may be written off as being too feminine, but there’s no need to feel that way, especially considering how great you’ll feel once you throw that preconceived notion down the drain and lather up with a moisturizing body wash. “Since some men don’t like the idea of using a loofah in the shower, it’s important to simplify the body-washing process with a product that lathers easily,” saysJeffrey Benabio, M.D., a dermatologist in San Diego.
It’s best to try a body wash that is designed specifically for men that you can lather on easily by using either a loofah, which happens to give you a little extra exfoliation, your hands, or a washcloth. Look for body washes that specifically moisturize.

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize

And repeat. Once you get out of the shower, this is the optimal time to moisturize, both your entire body and your face. Wind exposure and shaving irritation are sure to do a number on your skin, leaving it dry, a little itchy, and sometimes flaky due to less moisture in the air during the colder months. Your face also tends to feel tighter in the winter as well. “Quite simply, your skin doesn’t like the cold because it makes keratin stiffer and less flexible,” says Dr. John Gray, author of The World of Skincare.
Dr. Jessica Krant, assistant clinical professor of dermatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Centersuggests that when your skin begins to feel like this, look for a moisturizing cream with two main ingredients: a humectant, like hyaluronic acid, which pulls the little bits of moisture that is in the air into you skin, and second, a barrier, like petrolatum or shea butter to keep the moisture locked in your skin.

Don’t forget about your lips

Your lips need some tender love and care during the winter because having dried out, red irritated lips is the worst of your skin problems. They especially need extra care because your lips don’t produce any natural oils, making them much more susceptible to moisture loss and chapping. Interestingly, licking your lips is one of the worst things you can do during the dry winter months. Krant suggests using a shea butter lip balm — make sure to not use anything with camphor or menthol, which will dry out your lips. And contrary to popular belief, using a balm several times a day will not cause them dry out. Use it as needed, of course, but it’s best to not overdo anything.
Also bear in mind, if your nose is red and chapped, make sure not to wipe too hard with tissues — do as you would with your chapped lips and treat your rough nostrils to a little bit of shea butter.

Carry a hand cream with you

Keep a travel size hand cream in your briefcase or backpack. Your hands suffer a lot in the winter, and can sometimes get dry to the point that they become painful. Opt for a cream specifically winter friendly or targeted. Don’t leave home without it, and make sure to drink enough water to jeep your skin hydrated.

There have been some extremely bizarre events in our history that can not only shock you, but make you wonder what is going on with our species. The best part about reading shocking news are the headlines themselves. Most of the time they can be highly sensationalized in order to make the piece more alluring. Here are 10 of the most shocking headlines you will ever encounter.

This headline is absolutely fascinating. There is so much information to absorb in this one sentence itself. This piece involves ex-lesbian girlfriends, a sumo suit, a gay pub and a man in a snickers suit. You really can’t make this stuff up.

Interesting Last Meal

This is another one of those articles that has a lot to say and puts most of the juicy bits in the headline itself. This deformed mentally ill man might have committed a horrible robbery that he is getting killed for, but at least he picked one glorious last meal.

Wost Advice Ever

Sometimes you think to yourself if teachers are actually spending all their time around children, because whenever some of them speak, it feels like they have never met a child in their life. This headline is a perfect example of this situation.

This poor pug must be so scarred. Imagine when he grows up and all the other pugs make fun of his because he put his mouth to some strange woman’s nipples.

Skinny Cyclist

The problem with being too fit, is that sometimes people can mistake you for a tree branch. If this situation ever happens to you, you are in a lot of trouble.

10 Freaky Diseases You Wont Believe Really Exist

10 Freaky Diseases You Wont Believe Really Exist

I don’t know about you, but when I get ill I usually like to moan about it a lot; but maybe we should all thank our lucky stars that most of us only come down with the occasional cold, because there are much worse options out there. Look at some of the symptoms of the diseases listed here and they read like unbelievable horror stories. Worms living inside you, your skin turning into bark, uncontrollable hair growth; all of a sudden a blocked nose and a cough doesn’t sounds too bad does it? It’s scary to think how fragile the body can be, although most of these diseases are very rare so you don’t need to concern yourself too much.
As you read this list of weird, freaky diseases, spare a thought for those suffering with them and be thankful that the majority of ailments you’ll ever have can be cured with some antibiotics and bed rest.
Fibrodysplasia-ossificans-progressiva
That’s what a skeleton looks like when every bone has been fused together. This terrifying disease is also known as stone man syndrome; it’s one of the rarest conditions known to the medical world and there is no cure. The condition is caused by a mutation in the body’s repair mechanism that causes all damaged tissue to be replaced with a bone like substance. Any trauma to the body causes muscle, ligaments and tendons to be replaced with bone.
Surgery is the only way to remove the extra bone growth, unfortunately the trauma of surgery causes to body to increase bone production, worsening the situation. One man who suffered from this affliction donated his body to science when he died; at this point his entire body had been fused together with extra bone growth.
On the edge of your seat and can't wait to read more? Or hey, maybe feeling even just a little entertained? If so we hope you please consider clicking the share and like buttons below. Thanks so much!

9 – Tree Man Syndrome

Tree-Man-Syndrome
No, these people aren’t really turning into trees, but the reality is almost as scary. The official name for this condition is Epidermodysplasia verruciformis, but it is more commonly known as tree man syndrome due to the bark like appearance of the lesions it causes. People with this condition have skin that constantly produces scaly papules due to a hypersensitivity to HVP infections. These infections are present in 80% of all humans but our immune systems deal with them easily with no symptoms.
A Romanian man who had been suffering with the disease was featured on a discovery channel show; he had 13 lb of warts removed from his body including massive ‘horns’ which had grown on his hands. The warts began to grow back soon after and the poor guy will need 2 operations a year to keep the disease at bay.

8 – Hypertrichosis, “Werewolf Syndrome”

Hypertrichosis-Werewolf-Syndrome
Some people complain about having to shave their stubble every morning, or pluck their eyebrows once a week; well imagine if you had the equivalent of a full head of hair growing all over your face and body. Werewolf Syndrome causes uncontrollable growth of hair in most areas of the body; some historians actually think the legend of the werewolf may have originated with this disease.
The condition is usually genetic and visible by early adolescence; however there have been cases where werewolf syndrome was induced by the use of hair growth products, so be careful what you wish for. Cases of werewolf syndrome have been reported since at least the 1800’s; many sufferers at the time joined travelling circuses where they were presented as half human half beast.

7 – Progeria

Progeria
This is what a person looks like when they age 5 times faster than normal; the boy in this photo is only a child. The appearance of people with progeria can be described as small, wrinkled, and hairless with a frail, weak body and large head. Studies have shown that a person with progeria will have the body in a similar condition to that of an 80 year old by the time they are 15! People born with progeria rarely live past their early 20’s as their internal organs cease to function.
Scarily, the condition is caused by a random genetic mutation, meaning anyone could potentially have a child with the affliction; fortunately there are only known cases in the world right now, so the chances are pretty slim. Researchers are hopeful that by understanding this condition they can unlock the secrets of the aging process.

6 – Guinea Worm Disease

Guinea-Worm-Disease
This disease is every bit as gruesome as it sounds. If you don’t like to the idea of a worm living inside of your body for a whole year, then don’t read on. The parasitic infection is caused when a person drinks water infested with water fleas that are home to the Guinea worm larvae. For a long period of time there are no symptoms and a person will not know that they are infected. About a year later the worm will begin to form a painful, burning blister on either a leg or foot and will begin to emerge from the skin.
A female guinea worm can be up to 100 cm long and it takes literally weeks to wriggle its way out of you; if that doesn’t make you itch I don’t know what will. Thankfully, cases of guinea worm disease have decreased from 3.5 million a year to fewer than 200

5 – Cotard’s Delusion, “Walking Corpse Syndrome”

Cotards-Delusion-Walking-Corpse-Syndrome
Have you ever woken up and felt like death? Believe it or not there is a real disease that makes walking, talking people believe they are actually dead. People afflicted by this rare illness will be utterly convinced that they are missing internal organs, that they have no blood, or that they are completely dead. In some cases, these people also have delusions of immortality; if you’re already dead then you can’t die, right!? This has caused people to starve to death as they believe they no longer need food.
It is though that Cotard’s delusion is caused by the part of the brain that recognises faces not functioning properly; when a person cannot recognise their own face they lose their sense of self and assume they are dead. Treatment includes a series of anti-depressants and in serious cases, electroconvulsive therapy.

4 – African Trypanosomiasis

African-Trypanosomiasis
If you’re bitten by the Tse Tse fly then you may become infected with this horrendous, fatal parasite. The fly carries the parasite which infects the body over a period of weeks and months, progressively working its way to the brain where it will eventually kill anyone who isn’t treated.
The infection is extremely painful and will cause confusion, fevers, headaches and joint pains; what makes this disease strange, though, is the effect it has on a person as they become more and more sick. Once in the brain, the parasite affects the sleeping pattern of an infected individual causing them to sleep during the day and stay awake restlessly at night. Eventually the sufferer will fall asleep and not wake up, slip into a coma and die. It’s for this reason that the disease is nicknamed the ‘sleeping sickness’.

3 – Kuru Disease

Kuru-Disease
Did you ever think it could be possible to actually die from laughter? Neither did I, but the horrific Kuru disease makes this terrifying prospect a reality. Kuru is a neurological disease that infects the brain and causes the afflicted person to laugh uncontrollably, despite a feeling of depression. Someone infected with Kuru will also suffer from constant shakes, joint spasms and will eventually lose the ability to control their own body.
The disease is fatal and there is no known cure of treatment. The worst part of this disease is the way it is passed on; a human can only contract Kuru by eating the brain of another human infected with the disease. Tribal regions of Papa New Guinea are the only known areas where the disease is present, due to the tribe’s tradition of eating their relatives once they die.

2 – Foreign Accent Syndrome

Foreign-Accent-Syndrome
Have you ever wanted to wake up one morning and have a perfect, smooth, French accent? Well that is exactly what’s been happing to people with foreign accent syndrome! Well, it’s not quite as easy as that; of the 62 recorded cases of the syndrome, all of them have either suffered a stroke, head trauma or severe migraines, so it’s not something you should be hoping for.
These people, once recovered from their injuries, have found themselves speaking in the accent of a country that they have never visited. It is thought that severe head trauma can sometimes alter how the speech process works and change the way you move your tongue when you speak, resulting in a difference accent. The effect is permanent and an accent can only be changed back to its original with extensive speech therapy, possibly taking years.

1 – Porphyria

Porphyria
Is this disease the source of the vampire legend? Porphyria is a disease which causes extreme sensitivity to sunlight, an aversion to highly acidic foods (such as garlic) and causes the gums to recede, giving the appearance of sharp fangs. Starting to sounds familiar? Some experts believe porphyria offers an explanation to the legend of the vampire, with symptoms that are very similar to what is described in folklore.
If left untreated, people afflicted with porthyria are said to go mad; in fact it has been theorised that King George III (also known as the ‘mad king’) suffered from a type of porthyria. People who suffer from the condition can now be treated with regular blood transfusions however they will retain their vampiric appearance; although I think they’d appreciate it if you didn’t try to steak them in the heart.

10 Of The Most Ridiculous Things Celebrities Have Spent Money On

10 Of The Most Ridiculous Things Celebrities Have Spent Money On

The rich really do live different lives. Money may not be able to buy happiness but it can buy plenty of things that the rest of us would never consider owning in our entire lives. Celebrities are often thought of as being rather eccentric but there are some purchases that have been made over the years that are quite a bit more eccentric than others. Whether talking about pieces of clothing that costs more than our house, or pieces of property you didn’t even know could be owned by one person, this is a list of some of the most ridiculous things celebrities have spent money on.

Beyonce’s Golden Leggings

Beyonce has long been known for her outfits, but her golden leggings certainly take the cake. Those leggings aren’t just colored gold, but are actually gold plated and reportedly cost more than $100,000. You can buy a house for less than that.

Nick Cage’s Dinosaur

Compared to a dog house, Nicholas Cage spending more than $275,000 on a full Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton seems downright sensible. The Con-Air actor reportedly beat out another celeb, Leonardo DiCaprio, in order to get the bones.

Brad Pitt’s Working Tank

Brad Pitt has appeared in a number of war movies over the course of his career. It appears he’s fallen in love with at least one of the most destructive machines from the World War II era. Pitt owns his very own T-54 Tank. This isn’t a model or a replica but an actual Soviet-era tank.

Lady Gaga’s Ghost Hunting Machine

Lady Gaga has a lot of money. It also appears the actress and singer has a real interest in the supernatural; as witnessed by her starring role in this season of American Horror Story. So what does someone who has a lot of money and an interest in the supernatural spend their money on? How about a $50,000 ghost detection machine. It’s not known how many ghosts she’s found since she made this investment.

Kanye’s Painting

Kanye has always had a rather large opinion of himself. It’s possible no one knew just how big an opinion of himself he had until he had a famous artist paint a massive portrait of him, being featured as none other than God.
If that wasn’t bad enough, it turns out this painting cost the rapper more than $325,000.

The Game’s Diamond Encrusted RC Car

Rapper The Game decided he would spare no expense when it came to buying a toy his son would love. It turns out his son desperately wanted a remote controlled car that was encrusted with real diamonds. $110,000 later, The Game’s son had his very expensive toy.

Lil Wayne’s Teeth

They say diamonds are some of the hardest materials on earth. Perhaps that’s why rapper Lil Wayne decided he needed to get his teeth encrusted with the jewels.
If you thought a diamond encrusted RC car was odd, how about a mouthful of diamonds? Lil Wayne reportedly spent more than $200,000 covering his teeth in diamonds.

Paris Hilton’s Dog House

If you’ve ever felt that Paris Hilton probably has more money than she knows how to spend, you were right. Not only does the socialite live in a mansion of her own, she recently laid out a massive $325,000 for a custom made doghouse for her canine BFF. Beyonce could have almost bought four pairs of leggings for that much money!

T-Pain’s Big Chain

T-Pain isn’t your average, everyday rapper. That means his jewelry shouldn’t be average and every day either. The rapper made sure the chain he purchased was not only rather expressive, but huge as well. Because of the massive number of diamonds, reports indicate his chain cost more than $400,000.

Akon’s Diamond Mine

Some famous celebs go to the local jewelry store in order to buy their loved ones something sparkly. Other celebs such as Akon skip the middlemen altogether and buy a diamond mine. The musician owns his own South African diamond mine, which has some people wondering whether he’s helping the situation down there. For his part, he hasn’t talked much about it, saying only “it’s complicated.” We assume it’s also pricey.

10 Of The Most Bizarre Phobias

10 Of The Most Bizarre Phobias

A phobia is an irrational, persistent fear of certain situations, objects, activities, or persons. The main symptom of this disorder is the excessive, unreasonable desire to avoid the feared subject. When the fear is beyond one’s control, or if the fear is interfering with daily life, then a diagnosis under one of the anxiety disorders can be made.
We all have a thing or two we are scared of, but some people in the world are unable to live normally because of their fears. Some phobias are common, like the fear of spiders or the dark, but there are some that are so unusual that they will make you laugh or cringe. Here’s the list of the 10 most bizarre phobias there are.

Agyrophobia – Fear Of Crossing The Street

Agyrophobia, or sometimes known as dromophobia, is a specific phobia, an irrational fear that crossing the street will cause harm to the individual, even when there is no actual threat in sight. The fear is not the same one as the fear of cars, and agyrophobics have a fear of crossing streets, highways and other thoroughfares, or a fear of thoroughfares themselves. People who suffer from agyrophobia will avoid walking on the street and sometimes it extends to crowded spaces such as events or shopping malls. However, agyrophobiacs are still able to drive cars normally.

Ithyphallophobia – Fear of Erections

Ithyphallophobia is commonly known as “a persistent, abnormal, and unwarranted fear of an erect penis” and it’s a fear that can cause a lot of distress in people who suffer from it in every day life. It is very hard to get rid of the fear, sometimes taking up to months and years of therapy to get it under control because people suffering from it get exposed over and over to their fear. The phobia can significantly alter a person’s life as it causes panic attacks and can make people stay away from their love interests.

Mageirocophobia – Fear of Cooking

The fear of cooking carries the name mageirocophobia after the Greek word mageirokos that means someone who is skilled in cooking. The phobia can lead to unhealthy lifestyle, bad eating habits and lack of social interaction. There are many different forms of mageirocophobia. Some people are only afraid of cooking in big groups and some can’t cook for themselves. Unfortunately, it is a very common fear, but it is considered a phobia only when it interferes with a person’s every day life. The most common reason for mageirocophobia is the fear of causing illness, as there are a number of possible foodborne illnesses

Neophobia – Fear of Newness

Neophobia is the fear of newness, be it new things or new experiences. People suffering from this fear in a milder form can be scared of trying out new things in their lives and sometimes strictly stick to their well-oiled routine. It can also cause anger towards anything new or change in how things normally occur. There’s a special type of people known as neophobic who try to preserve traditions and make society not change during the years. One of the most common types of neophobia is techophobia, the fear of new technology.

Panphobia – Fear of Everything

Panphobia is a literal fear of everything. Sometimes it may include a non-specific fear of the idea of fear which usually induces anger, further fear and panic attacks. For now, there is no proven cure of Panphobia and sufferers are usually instructed to learn how to deal with the symptoms for the rest of their lives. People who suffer from Panphobia usually have to go to counseling, medical therapy and use prescription medication so they can deal with stress. Symptoms most commonly linked to this fear are anxiety disorders, but also an increased heartbeat, dread, excessive sweating and inability to speak.

Taphophobia – Fear Of Being Buried Alive

Taphophobia is the fear of being placed in a grave while still being alive as a result of being pronounced dead. This version of fear comes from the Greek taphophobia and is translated as “fear of graves”. Throughout history, when medicine wasn’t as advanced as today, the fear wasn’t so irrational. There have been many recorded cases of people accidentally being buried alive. Apparently the recorded number of people who have been buried alive is higher than four hundred.

Pteronophobia – Fear Of Being Tickled by Feathers

Pteronophobia is the fear of feathers or being tickled by feathers. It is considered universally accepted that phobias come from from a combination of external events, usually trauma and genetics. The symptoms for Pteronophobia include anxiety, dread and panic attacks, but it can also manifest itself through rapid breathing, sweating, nausea and dry mouth. There is no cure for Pteronophobia and the symptoms are usually treated with medication and counseling, hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, and Neuro-Linguistic programming.

Deipnophobia – Fear Of Dinner Conversation

If we’re being completely honest, not many enjoy dinner conversations. They can be very awkward, sometimes even uncomfortable. And mostly, they are plain and boring. But for some people dinner conversations pose such a threat they are genuinely afraid of them and the idea of speaking to another person over dinner cripples them so much that they avoid eating with other people at the same table. Sometimes it occurs because of the new way of dining where strict rules of etiquette don’t apply anymore and everything is done in a casual manner. Therefore people who suffer from Deipnophobia will feel better in a controlled environment where fine dining occurs.

Pentheraphobia – Fear Of Mother-in-Law

Pentheraphobia is the fear of your mother-in-law. People who dread their mother-in-law sometimes also have additional problems with Vitricophobia (fear of your step-father) Novercaphobia (fear of your step-mother), and Soceraphobia (fear of your parents-in-law). Out of all the phobias, this might be the most common, as most married people have suffered from this fear at least once during their marriage. It is so common that it is often referred to in books and movies. It can be cured with medication or professional therapy, although most people opt for divorce as the easiest solution.

Arachibutyrophobia – Fear Of Peanut Butter Sticking To The Roof Of Your Mouth

Although it does sound quite unbelievable, but Arachibutyrophobia is a real thing. The fear of peanut butter sticking to your mouth while consuming it sounds like something that isn’t that hard to deal with – you just don’t buy peanut butter. However, in a society who is quite literally obsessed with it, especially when it comes to kids and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, it’s somewhat understandable there has to be a portion of people who will be affected by it. One of the Arachibutyrophobiacs revealed: “Whenever I’m around peanut butter I start to sweat excessively and my body starts convulsing. The roof of my mouth becomes coarse and itchy. I can’t live with this fear anymore. My thirst for peanut butter must be quenched without me going into a full blown panic attack.”
